FILM
A film that branches.
A choice changes what the audience understands about the same self.
When AI can do almost anything,
what can only YOU choose?
Latent Hacks invites creators aged 13-18, globally, to turn "Who am I?" into interactive works. Start with a concept, sketch, prototype, previous work, experiment, or question.
what can be submitted
Begin with a concept, sketch, prototype, previous creative work, screen recording, or one small question that could become an experience.
FILM
A choice changes what the audience understands about the same self.
GAME
The rules begin to copy, resist, or misread the player.
SYSTEM
It classifies you before you can explain yourself.
OBJECT
Touch, refusal, or selection remains after the visitor leaves.
ROOM
A repeated gesture stops belonging to only one person.
IMAGE
An image can become a system: a sequence, archive, annotation, generated trail, screen, label, or rule.
Open Call 00 is the first real cycle of Latent Hacks. It is the first public mechanism: interest, public brief, submission, review, and selected outcomes.
Interest first.
Submission later.
Register interest to receive updates and reminders. Use the public examples and prompts to shape a concept, sketch, prototype, previous work, or question before sending anything for review.
built for interactive work, creator choice, and public outcomes.
Register interest first. Submit only when the idea has a shape.
what can be submitted
Do not wait for a perfect idea. Start with the thing that keeps pulling you back.

AI's place
AI can help generate, translate, classify, remix, or respond. It can also be questioned, refused, or made visible as part of the work.
What matters is what the creator chooses, changes, rejects, reveals, and how another person encounters the final work.
toward the first exhibition
Latent Hacks begins as a Founding Open Call, but it is being built toward public presentation.
Selected directions may be developed into works that can be watched, heard, played, entered, questioned, or encountered.
public work
Film, sound, games, interfaces, AI experiments, objects, performances, installations, or forms we do not have a name for yet.
production funding
Interactive work needs materials, screens, sensors, sound, space, testing, documentation, and production time.
The first step is interest, then shaping what you already have. Public outcomes require separate permission.
01 / INTEREST
Tell us your role and where to send Open Call 00 updates, examples, reminders, and next steps.
02 / PUBLIC PAGE
The public page is the brief. You can read what counts as a direction before sharing anything.
03 / MAKE
Make with code, film, sound, image, object, performance, interface, text, AI, or no AI yet.
04 / SUBMIT
Send a concept, prototype, image, video, link, code sketch, document, or previous work for review only.
05 / DIRECTION
Some works may be developed for exhibition, recap, or online presentation with separate permission.
