Latent Hacks is a non-profit initiative fiscally sponsored by The Hack Foundation d/b/a Hack Club (EIN: 81-2908499), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our website is operated at latenthacks.com.

What Data We Collect

When you register interest or submit a direction for review, we may collect:

  • Email address
  • Age range
  • Role or interest type, such as creator, educator, partner, or supporter
  • Possible medium, idea, question, or work direction (optional)
  • Submitted links or work direction details during the review stage, if you choose to send them

Why We Collect It

  • To send Open Call 00 updates, examples, reminders, and next steps
  • To communicate Founding Open Call updates
  • To evaluate work during the review process if you choose to submit
  • To comply with legal requirements for programs involving minors

Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Interest and submission data is stored in Supabase, and confirmation emails may be sent through Resend. We use Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics for aggregated website usage data.

Data for Minors

The Founding Open Call is intended for creators aged 13-18. Participants under 18 should have permission where required by a parent or guardian, school, or local rules. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing team@latenthacks.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email to subscribers or posted on this page.
