About This Program

Latent Hacks is a global creative program for interactive works in the AI era. The current public mechanism is the Latent Hacks Founding Open Call, also called Open Call 00.

Eligibility

The Founding Open Call is intended for creators aged 13-18, globally. Participants under the age of 18 should have permission where required by a parent or guardian, school, or local rules. Future Latent Hacks programs may use different eligibility rules.

Intellectual Property & Review Permission

Creators retain full intellectual property rights to their submitted works. Registering interest or submitting work for the Founding Open Call gives Latent Hacks permission to:

  • Receive and review the information or work you choose to send
  • Contact you about questions, follow-up, development, or next steps
  • Use internal notes to evaluate fit, safety, and development potential

Initial interest or submission is not permission for Latent Hacks to publish, exhibit, promote, archive, or share your work publicly. Public features, recaps with identifiable work, exhibition use, media materials, or sponsor-facing creator materials require separate permission. For creators under 18, guardian permission may also be required.

You may request deletion or withdrawal from review by contacting team@latenthacks.com.

Content Standards

All submitted works must:

  • Be safe and appropriate for selected public outcomes, if later consented
  • Not contain harmful, discriminatory, or illegal content
  • Properly credit all tools, APIs, datasets, and collaborators used
  • Not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights
  • Meet basic exhibition-readiness standards (reliable runtime, clear installation requirements)

Program Details Subject to Change

Exhibition venue, dates, prize amounts, and program specifics are subject to change based on sponsorship, partnerships, and operational requirements. Items marked as "TBA," "Target," "Projected," or "In Discussion" on the website are not confirmed. Significant changes will be communicated to applicants via email.

Likeness & Media Consent

If a creator is invited into a public feature, recap, exhibition, or media moment, use of participant likeness requires separate, explicit consent. For participants under 18, guardian consent may also be required for media usage.

Limitation of Liability

Latent Hacks, its organizers, fiscal sponsor, and partners are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the program, exhibition, or use of this website, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, consistent with the jurisdiction of The Hack Foundation.
